WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?
SOMOS TU OLA means WE ARE YOUR WAVE
SOMOS TU OLA is a fund raising non-profit association that was created on the 18th of October, 2018 and is constituted by a president, a secretary and a treasurer. The goal of this association is to help families raise funds for children, adolescents and adults who have suffered severe amputations caused by sepsis.
SOMOS TU OLA helps families create a social network to make the case known and to help acquire economic aid, donations, funds etc….. The association will also help create or participate in fund raising events.
The goal of SOMOS TU OLA is to help the social insertion and Independence of the person affected
Transparency

SOMOS TU OLA will open a bank account for the affected person where all funds raised in the different events, as well as donations, will be transfered and will be handled by the association.
With the purpose of a maximum transparency and in order to avoid frauds, SOMOS TU OLA consists of a president, secretary and a treasurer, who will control the incoming funds, donations, etc… entering the bank account. We would like to stress that these people are not related to the person who is receiving the help.
A bank account will be opened for the person who is affected, which will be used to pay treatments necessary to help this person lead a normal life, including prosthesis, and in case the person needs to receive treatment in another locality, transport, diet and accommodation will be covered. We would like to stress that the association will not cover the expenses of the companion.
We would like to emphasize that the family of the person affected does not have direct access to the bank account, but it is their obligation to collaborate with SOMOS TU OLA for fund raising purposes.
